Field Day at Nathaniel Morton
Field Day is just about everybody's favorite day of the school year. Events were organized by Mrs. Nye and held both in the gym and out on the field. Many parents and other family members volunteered to help out. Classes were divided into red, yellow, blue, and green teams and circulated among the various areas. At the sound of an air horn they changed to the next activity. A video was shown at recess time to give everyone a little cooling down time. Lunch was hot dogs cooked outside on the grill. At the end of the day everyone got a popsicle and a ribbon the color of their team.

Things to See In and Around Plymouth
On the right you can see a slideshow of the drawings the second graders created. Drawings from both schools are combined for this slideshow. Be sure to click on it to enlarge the pictures.
The children were asked to draw something that they would want the children from Plymouth, England to see if they were to visit Plymouth, Massachusetts. They also were to write a sentence telling what their place is and what you could do there. Most of the places are right in Plymouth, but some are day trips to Boston or other cities and towns nearby.

Bare Books
When Mrs. Deal asked me to video her class reading their "Bare Books", I thought she was inviting me to a science lesson about "bears".
